Happy Thursday Friends!! Back on the beauty essentials, I kind of fell off since COVID-19 messed up my blog schedule. I’m skipping around from my original plan since I’ve had SO many questions about this topic, SELF TANNING. I have split it into two posts, Beauty Essentials || Self Tanner & The Best Self Tanning Routine. This one and the other will go up sometime this next week.
Over the past couple of months I have had A LOT of questions regarding my self tanner and what I use! I’m going to share the products that are my tried and true, holy grail products. I have tried SO many self tanning products and these are what work best for me. In this post you will only find the tanning products themselves.
If you can’t tone it, tan it! Right? But really I just feel so much better with a tan, I don’t know what it is. I love it though. I can’t even tell you the last time I haven’t had one. For starters, I will say I have been self tanning now for well over 3 years and have gotten SO much better. I think it takes a little bit to get the hang of because now I can get it all done in no time!!
FACE & BODY TANNING
Tan Luxe “The Face” Self Tanning Drops || This is the self tanner that I use for my face ONLY. I apply 4-5 drops into my moisturizer when I need color on my face. This doesn’t last very long on my face, so I use it WAY more in the summertime. However, this bottle lasts for a lifetime it seems like so it’s worth the splurge.
Loving Tan || Where to even start with this HOLY GRAIL, ahhh! I have been using this self tanner ever since I started using it. I don’t use this on my face because it tends to clog my pores. I always get SO many questions about my self tanner and this is what I use, ALWAYS. I try to leave this on for as long as possible to get the darkest color as possible. I apply this self tanner with a mitt and kabuki brush. I’m telling you, this stuff is the bomb. It also works on lots of different skin tones! I use the 2 Hour Express – Dark and Deluxe Bronzing Mousse – Ultra Dark.
Fake Bake || This self tanner made it on the list because it is another great one! Although, I use this ON TOP of the Loving Tan, I’m not a fan of this by itself. The ONLY reason I’m not a fan of it alone is because of the spray bottle, if you don’t rub it very quickly it stain. Plus, I personally think spraying it on a mit, that the mid just absorbs all this product. That’s why I prefer on top. It has more of a red undertone to it but it’s very good. I spray this one directly onto my skin OVER the Loving Tan then use a mitt to blend.
Isle of Paradise Body Butter & Drops || Oh my lanta, I ordered this on sale and WOW. I fully expected to hate this, WORTH THE HYPE. Seriously!!! It’s so easy and so soft. It is so quick to put on and I have had ZERO transfer of this product. I’m obsessed & the bottle is huge!! I find it easiest to apply this one with my hands then wash them after I’m done.
