Happy Thursday y’all!! So if you haven’t noticed Instagram has blocked me out of my account, like WHAT?! I haven’t been able to post there or comment, share on stories, like, NOTHING!! But still keeping my blog posts going! Rest assured I will be back in action AS SOON as I can log on..lol. Sorry about that, it’s driving me crazy that I can’t talk to y’all or share my outfits!!!
Now, I’m back in action with my Beauty Essentials posts! I am ALMOST as excited about this post as I was about my Beauty Essentials || Mascara post. Behind mascara, I think bronzer would be the next thing I couldn’t go without. Like if I’m on a deserted island, bronzer is coming with me! Ha! But really, I just love it and always have! Doesn’t everybody?!?
Although, I must admit I used to NOT wear this properly. Looking back at pictures, I’m not sure why my mom wasn’t like, giiirrrrrl let me help you! (She also probably did, but teenagers. Duh). I think at some point we all wore it wrong, but in all this time I’ve been wearing I have narrowed it down to the BEST ones. Some high end and some drugstore.
I honestly have a love/hate relationship with trying new bronzers though. You never know, will my face breakout? How pigmented will it be? Does it smell bad? Is it going to apply funky? How long will it last? The list goes on and on, even still I have tried a lot and gone through some VERY not so pleasant ones. Personally, feel like I’ve narrowed it down to some pretty good ones!
All of the products I am going to mention are my holy grail products that I use ALL the time. I am going to share my favorite powder bronzer and cream bronzers! I will share my shades as well, most of them will look a little bit dark but I ALWAYS have self tanner on (I’ll spill all the beans on that in a later Beauty Essentials post, so stay tuned)! Let’s get into my all time favorite bronzers.
MY FAV BRONZERS
POWDER BRONZER
NYX || Y’all this bronzer, I think I will always use!! It is SO affordable plus the color is so good. & it lasts for so dang long. It really doesn’t get much better than that. I especially like to use this for everyday since it’s affordable. I use the shade, DEEP.
Tarte Park Ave Princess || I have rebought this palette THREE times, it is SO dang good. I have also purchased individual bronzers as well and they’re just as good. The shade range on the palette is just SO good. I like that it also has two light shades, so convenient for travel! I love the way Tarte bronzers smell, like SO much. They also are VERY pigmented, I learned this the hard way!lol. I really use all of the shades on this palette.
Anastasia Beverly Hill Contour Kit || This is another GREAT palette, I feel like it works for all different skin tones. Also, it lasts for so dang long!! I’ve bought this one twice, sometimes you can actually find this one at TJ Maxx – YAAYYYY! I use all of these shades, it kind of just depends on how fresh my tan is but they are so pigmented as well.
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Bronzer || Let me tell ya, this is another favorite! This one just goes on SO smooth and it’s much lighter so it’s very buildable. It also lasts, clearly I like products that last a good bit! I actually randomly purchased this one and LOVED it. I don’t really think it has a smell but it does have the most “natural” look of all the bronzers I use.
CREAM BRONZER
Makeup Revolution Fast Base Foundation Stick – I had never used cream bronzer until about 2 months ago and I’m not sure I want to go back! I originally found this Makeup Revolution Foundation Stick and decided to try and it has worked so well! I apply it with a brush then set with THIS setting powder.
Chanel Soleil Tan Bronzer – I saw a blogger use this and knew I HAD to try it, it is for sure a splurge. I got a mini version but dang. IT. IS. SO. GOOD. I didn’t know what I was missing until I got my hands on it. It just buffs into the skin SO nicely and looks amazing. I actually ran out and then purchased the regular size one! I have used a brush, my hand and a beauty blender but I think I like it with a brush the best. I use THIS one.
