Happy FRI-YAY friends!!! Figured you all might want a little something to do this weekend, so I’m sharing my chocolate chip cookie recipe!! These are so fun to make, especially if you have kids too! They are the best and I promise whoever is in your house will LOVE them!
My chocolate chip cookies are chewy and loaded with chocolate chips. They are my absolute favorite!! Fun fact – I used to want to own a bakery so I like to think that I have perfected these cookies, ha! I promise you, they are so good and you can’t mess them up! They’re a crowd favorite, I make them for EVERYTHING and never have any left. Let’s get to baking!!
ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- ½ cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- ½ cup white chocolate chips (you could not use this or use any other sort of mix in you want)
directions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt (you’ll set this aside for now)
- In a medium bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until blended
- Beat in the vanilla, egg and egg yolk
- Now you’ll mix in the dry ingredients – I usually add a cup to a cup and a half at a time
- Next, stir in your chocolate chips with a big spoon
- Roll dough in a ball, for these cookies I usually use a ¼ cup – it sounds like a lot but I promise it’s good! Just be sure and make it more tall than wide or they will cook funky.
- Bake at 325 for 11-14 minutes or until cookies are light golden brown. You want the edges to start to harden but the center to be soft! Be sure and don’t overbake them!!! After you’ve taken them out, leave on the cookie sheet for approximately 1-2 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool.
- ENJOY!
I hope you enjoyed this recipe! It really is a crowd pleaser and everyone will love if you make them! Every one always wants my cookie recipe so there you have it, I’m spilling my secrets!! Let me know if you try them. What is your favorite dessert? Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing!
